To convey Korean culture and art to Japan and to enhance the national image through cultural exchanges in Japan and internationally, we have established the Korea-Japan Cultural and Artistic Exchange Association and have begun our activities.
We held the first "Korea-Japan Cultural and Artistic Exchange Festival" at the Hanmadang Hall of the Korean Cultural Center in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
The event opened with a performance by Japanese drummer Masayuki Ōkura and a Samulnori performance from Korea.
Master Jeong Pan-im, along with her disciples, sang songs such as "Ship Song," "Gangwon-do Arirang," "Seongju Puli," "Hun Taryeong," and "Dong Taryeong." Japanese dancers performed traditional Korean dances, creating a unique and emotional experience, and marking a strong start to Korea-Japan exchanges.
We have launched a website to create a new stage for promoting cultural and artistic exchanges between Korea and Japan, and to build deeper understanding and friendship.
This platform aims to introduce Korea's traditional music, delicious food culture, and the beauty of traditional living to Japan, while further enhancing cultural exchanges between the two countries.
